Step 1. Unzip and extract your downloads to a folder in your documents on your computer. You may need an unzipping program like winzip or WinRar to do this.
Keep the data in the folder name
Step 2. Copy the new ( UNZIPPED ) folders to your Micro SD card.
( I use Sandisk and Samsung 32gb in the HDS)
32GB is the maximum size for the HDS Live/Pro ( 16gb is maximum for Elite Ti2 )
The MICRO SD card now gets inserted into your Lowrance Chart Plotter.
The MICRO SD card now gets put into your Lowrance Chart Plotter.
These maps wont work in Humminbird or Garmin.
Step 3. Depending on what map you have, utilise your built in maps ( Navionics or C-Map) and zoom in to that location.
You find your maps in > More options > Chart Source ( on the HDS model). If you purchase several maps you may see the names like Lowrance & maybe named & dated low tide maps. If you see "Lowrance" click on that or another named "low tide" map.
Step 4. By now you are back to a white screen & feeling ripped off.
That's OK I'm probably off to Tahiti.
Look in your settings , maybe just above your Charts and look for > Chart Options > Shaded Relief . Give it a tick/ tap ( maybe an orange triangle in the corner appears & so does your new imagery. (Get used to doing this for other maps) Check tutorials below.
Step 5. If you are struggling and still only get the white screen, zoom in closer starting at Step 3 again. The maps do have other higher zoomed out layers like "Top End" and even higher "Australia Overlay" that you may find beneficial to have. They are not necessary if you know your way around but will make things easier.
Step 6. * **** Troubleshooting Further****
*If you have a Navionics or C-Map card, remove it from the machine to test these maps
*Maximum size sd card is 32GB
*In the Chart Plotters Main Settings ( The gear cog picture) for some models is sometimes a tick box in Charts for a YES/NO display option. Make sure it's YES.
*Ensure your files are inside the the file/folder on the card exactly as when you unzipped. You only want to see the location names. Not the data contents. names all over the card. Take your time copying the main folder, some folders have many sub folders of data in them.
If you bought 5 maps, you will see 5 folders ( with files inside them) on your card.
*Do not reuse and copy to an old Navionics card you might have. It has encryption that will not allow the maps to be seen in the Lowrance.
Step 7. Any new additional maps you purchase will have to go through this procedure to add the shaded relief notation to them. Get familiar with those chart options button locations & you will wizz through it. Named "Low tide" maps will usually appear as a specific map in your charts. The rest will disappear into the system under the title "Lowrance". ie say you got Adelaide River, Roper River , Victoria River , Shady Camp maps & the "King Ash Bay Low Tide" maps. You would only see in your Chart Plotter maps the headings, C-Map, Navionics , " Lowrance" & " King Ash Bay Low Tide" and that is normal.
INFO : Sometimes a good old turn it off and on again solves everything. There have been cases where I have not zoomed in far enough for a new map and ended up unticking the "shaded relief" option & had to re-tick it to see the imagery. So it will happen, it may get muddled but you will get there. But once you are up & running and your zoom maps are visible you don't need to go to Shaded relief. You just flip between the maps in either the area you are fishing at or by searching for an area manually on your chart plotter. Like doing a search on the internet

These maps will not work in Humminbird or Garmin.
If I could make them for those Brands , I would.

A. Yes, your card is inserted correctly & working & all the maps are loading. You can choose to simply ignore the maps with a "No" until you are ready to search for your current location later.
If you have 20 maps like me on 1 card there is a fair bit of "No" button pushing.
This is the Baines on the Victoria River NT and the sandbars do get bigger
"Low tide maps" will show up in your sounder with names you can see.
Other major region river maps will be unlisted and
centralised under the "Lowrance Tab".
Say you got Roper , Adelaide & Mary Rivers and King Ash Bay maps

In this video we look at a couple of low tide satellite maps of Burketown/Normanton & Karumba
